Guest Post: Four Magical Oils For Soft Baby Skin
Posted by Kelly Northey on 10th Aug 2013
Hi, I’m Harrison and I’m honoured to be featured on Kelly’s Bamboo Bubby blog today. I’ve once suffered from eczema for 10 years so let me give out some advice.
If you want soft baby skin, keep reading.
Yes, it sounds too good to be true, want soft baby skin and just keep reading?
What I’m sharing here are oils extracted from nature without artificial chemicals, which means they may be slow but they will produce a permanent and reliable result.
Unlike modern day treatments, they may be fast but they only provide a short-term temporary relief.
So what do I recommend? Essential oils.
Here are 4 oils that have been frequently reported to be magical:
1. Sunflower oil
Sunflower oil is extremely high in vitamin E, a critical nutrient for healthy skin.
This vitamin can cut down scarring, reduce wrinkles and smoothen skin tissues.
Apply this oil topically for the best results. It is anti-inflammatory and helps prevent infections. Great for people with eczema, acne and dry skin.
2. Fish oil
Did you know that modern diets are extremely off-scale in certain nutrients balance?
Such as the omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, we eat way too much vegetable oil, causing an off-scale from the 1:1 healthy ratio.
To help bring the ratio down, we can consume fish oil, because they are rich in natural omega-3 fatty acids. But why does it matter?
Because the intake of omega-3 in the body is directly related to inflammatory responses, which means if you want radiant skin, you’ve got to prevent your body from attacking yourself from the within.
Consume 2 tablespoons per day.
3. Coconut oil (virgin unheated)
Coconut oil is highly effective. It is anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. Which makes it a great topical treatment for skin conditions.
Another great thing about coconut is that when applied, it is unlike conventional moisturizers it is non-greasy.
Double-win!
Here are some benefits if taken internally:
- Anti-cancer
- Alzheimer’s treatment
- Heart disease prevention
- Dental health: cavity prevention and reversal
- Diabetes improvement
- Weight loss
- Better digestion
- Strengthens immune system
Coconut oil can also be applied to the hair to make it more shiny and reduce static electricity build-up so it doesn’t messy.
4. Olive oil (cold pressed extra virgin)
Olive oil, like sunflower oil, is rich in vitamin E, which is a nutrient essential for high quality skin.
Olive oil can also be mixed in with a little bit of sea salt for topical treatment. The good thing about olive oil is that it doesn’t clog up pores, which means you won’t have to worry about blocking the breathing passages of your skin, while it is exfoliating dead skin cells.
Also, it is rich in antioxidants, meaning it is anti-aging and if used consistently it can greatly reduce wrinkles.
I suggest 2 tablespoons a day internally, and to use a face wash as well as a topical moisturizer.
Here’s your takeaway...
Many oils that exist in the world are extremely useful for the skin, and most of them come with other benefits too.
However, for lower production costs, many companies create fake oils made of artificial chemicals. So, whenever you purchase oils, I highly recommend you to purchase from a trusted source and…
